Chelle Names Super Eagles Squad as Osimhen and Lookman Return for AFCON Qualifiers

Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has named his squad for two upcoming AFCON qualifiers against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau, along with a separate team for a friendly match against Russia.

Key players like Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Alex Iwobi, and Wilfred Ndidi lead the main squad for the qualifiers on September 25 and 29.

 

Full-back Ola Aina is back in the mix after missing recent games, while defender Benjamin Fredricks returns from injury.

 

Young forward George Ilenikhena has earned a call-up, and LASK winger Moses Usor has received his very first invitation to the national team.

For the October 6 friendly against Russia, Chelle selected a modified group featuring several fresh faces alongside core players like Stanley Nwabali, Kelechi Iheanacho, and Moses Simon.
