4 Men Gang-Rape 16-Year-Old Virgin In Lagos

 

A 16-year old school girl, a JSS 3 student has been brutally raped by a gang of 4 men. 3 of them have been arrested by the men of the State criminal Investigation Department, (SCID) Yaba, Panti where they are currently being detained.

 

The incident reportedly took place on the 3rd of June, 2015.

 

The suspects identities have been given as Sunday Simeon, 18, from Akwa Ibom state; Adebayo Omoniyi 18, from Ondo state; Nnaemeka Uzodinma 24, from Imo state and Seyi (surname unknown) who is at large.

 

According to Vanguard, the culprits had a well-mapped up strategy which they used to abduct the girl to the place of rape. As she returned from school on the fateful day, one of the suspects known as Adebayo accosted the victim and seized her phone around Arikeuyo junction. The poor girl went after him in a bid to recover the phone. His partners who were on standby hijacked the girl, put her in a tricycle and zoomed off to a house, No 15 Unity Close in Orile Iganmu.

 

The culprits took turns on her starting from Adebayo. After the deed, he went ahead to suggest killing the girl and throwing her corpse into the canal to prevent her from exposing them.

 

On a contrary advice by another member, they threatened to murder her with a cutlass if she revealed her ordeal to anybody. They took her phone number and  then rode her to the main road in the tricycle. They tipped her with a sum of N100 for her transport fare home.

According to a source close to the family who spoke to Vanguard on the condition of anonymity said: “when the victim came back from school it was obvious that something was wrong as she was walking with difficulty, her uniform torn, she was bleeding because she sustained severe bruises all over her vagina”.

“Her parents who saw her torn uniform and noticed the way she walked asked what had happened to her and she told them how she was attacked by four men who raped her on her way back from school.

"Immediately her father took her to Orile Divisional Police station to report the incidence.

"Fortunately while she was at the station with her father the suspects kept calling and threatening to kill her if she told anyone what they did to her”.

Meanwhile the victim was taken to Ifelodun Ajeromi Government Hospital where she received treatment after a series of test were carried out on her which confirmed that he has been sexually abused.

The police lured the culprits into a trap by using the girl as a bait. She was asked to fix another appointment with them which they agreed. On the set day, she was secretly accompanied by 3 detectives who successfully arrested one of them. This led to the arrest of 2 others.

 

They will soon be charged to court for prosecution.
