Popular Journalist, Tolu Ogunlesi, Appointed SA on New Media To President Buhari?

According to a report on Premium Times, Award winning journalist,  Tolu Ogunlesi, has been appointed as a Special Assistant on New Media to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Close source from the presidency disclosed to the news portal that Ogunlesi has already undergone security screening and his appointment is to be announced in the coming days.

It can be recalled that he is one of Nigeria’s most active Twitter users, and was clearly in favour of Mr. Buhari’s election in the 2015 general elections.

He will be the president's social media anchor, a role played by Reno Omokiri for former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Before his alleged appointment, he was a freelance writer, contributing articles to various publications, mostly abroad. He also syndicated opinion articles in many Nigerian newspapers.
