The Baale of Temidire Alagbado, Chief Nojeem Abioye, his son, and nine others have been arrested and are being interrogated at the State Department of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence (SDCII) Yaba, in connection with the murder of Alhaji Olatunji Rasaq, a.k.a Tunji Alaso who was brutally killed Monday last week in Alagbado area of Lagos.

It was learned that the victim who is popularly known as Alhaji Gay was murdered during a protest by landlords and residents in the community, led by Abioye, over allegations of land grabbing, and that the protest was peaceful until Alhaji arrived the venue and began to record events on video.

The protesters, rushed towards him and he ordered his driver to speed off, hitting one Mr. Raheem, alias Denge. In his defence, Chief Abioye disclosed to Vanguard:

“The community organised the protest because of the activities of Tunji Alaso.

It was a peaceful protest until Tunji  came and distrupted the protest with his thugs.”
