A mere 15-year-old boy has caused the deaths of five persons including as many as three children after embarking on dangerous driving.

The scene of the crash

According to a Daily Star UK report, a 15-year-old boy has admitted causing the deaths of five people, including three children, by dangerous driving after a car ploughed into a tree in Leeds.

The teenager – who cannot be named – pleaded guilty to five charges in relation to the crash in November at Leeds Crown Court today.

Appearing in court by video link, the boy was told that reports would be prepared and he would be sentenced on January 26.

At an earlier hearing, he wept in the dock as the details of the crash – which cops described as “complete carnage” – were given to the court.

Ellis Thornton-Kimmitt, 12, his brother, Elliott Thornton-Kimmitt, 14, Darnell Harte, 15, Robbie Meerun, 24, and Anthoney Armour, also 24, all died after a Renault Clio smashed into a tree on Stonegate Road, in the area of Meanwood.

Police described the crash, which happened just before 10pm on Saturday November 25, as “catastrophic”.

At the time of the horrific incident, officers told reporters that emergency services had been confronted by “a scene of total carnage”.

Residents claim the route is dangerous due to the number of careless drivers who use it.

An elderly couple said at the time: “I only heard the bang just as I was going to bed, it didn’t sound like a car crash because it was just one massive bang.

“This road is a nightmare. Speeding, jumping red lights, even walking the dog I am worried for my safety.”

Another local who lives on the road said he heard a massive bang before going to bed.

He added: “There was a loud bang and I heard sirens. I didn’t know what had happened.”

Tributes have been paid to the five lads who were killed.

Ellis and Elliot’s sister paid a heartfelt tribute, saying: “My body is full of pain right now. My world and more. I wish I told you I love you everyday.”

Dad-of-two Anthoney was expecting his third child weeks after he died.

His partner Sara Louise Priestley said: “My love for you will never end. Our thing child is due in three weeks and you were so excited my heart is breaking.”
