After learning that his girlfriend, Stephanie, hated tradition, Victor Tang went into planning for the most epic proposal in the history of Hong Kong.
Here was his official expenses list (in USD):
1.5 carat diamond engagement ring = $26,000
Luxury suite at the Ritz-Carlton hotel overlooking Victoria Harbour = $3,350
Banner and helicopter to pull the banner over the restricted air space = $19,000
Camera crew for post proposal interview = $2,000
In total, Tang’s bill cost him nearly $52,000, but worry not, he claims that he’s “not a rich guy but I control my budget”.
In response, an excited Stephanie said, "I'm so surprised, I didn't expect that it would happen today because before, I always chased him to propose but he just said 'maybe November or December."
