The helicopter crashed in the airport
A helicopter has crashed at Perth Airport in Scotland during take-off this morning, Metro UK
A picture from the scene and shows the helicopter on its side and badly damaged with people at the scene, looking at what has happened. The helicopter came down at the Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) base at the airport.
Conor Wonjtowicz, who lives close to the scene, told his local paper: ‘I was sitting in my room which is 150ft from where the helicopter came down.
‘I heard it take off and it didn’t sound right at all, then there was a big bang.’
He went to the scene with his brother and described seeing a crumpled tail and fuel leaking onto the ground.
The helicopter is believed to be used for training purposes and is not one of the air ambulances, which are predominantly yellow.
One man was taken to hospital for treatment to a leg injury.
