Daily Post reports that the Department of State Security (DSS) have arrested the Chairmen of Gwarzo and Kano Municipal, Bashir Abdullahi Kutama and Faizu Alfindiki respectively, for allegedly using armed political thugs to cause chaos in the state.
About three persons were repirtedly killed recently during political activities of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje at various local government areas of the state.
A top DSS officer, who craved anonymity, confirmed the arrests to DAILY POST.
Khalid Ishaq Diso, Chairman of Gwale Local Government Area has also been declared wanted for the same allegations, while one Dr Sabiu, a Senior Special Adviser to the Governor has been arrested on the same allegations.
The DSS, who frowned at rising political thuggery in Kano, resulting to killings, warned that anybody found behind it would not be spared.
Heavy fights between different supporters of some political contestants at Garo and Burkun areas of Kabo and Bunkure Local Governments resulted in the killings of four persons recently.
