The aspirants include: the National Leader of the party, Bola Tinubu, the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello; Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi; and Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba.
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will rake close to N2 billion from the sale of forms.
This is as more candidates like the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, and the Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi have joined the 2023 presidential race.
At least six aspirants have picked the party’s form which was pegged at 100 million Naira. It is believed that when other candidates pick their forms, the party will rake over N2 billion.
The aspirants include: the National Leader of the party, Bola Tinubu, the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello; Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi; and Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba.
A female aspirant in the party, Uju Kennedy, has also picked her forms after paying the sum of N30m.
The sales of form is expected to close on May 6th if not shifted by the party.
The ruling party is set to make two billion Naira from all the aspirants who have shown interest in the 2023 presidential race.
The Minister of Niger Delta, Godswill Akpabio is expected to formally declare his intention today and also pick up the party’s form.
Other aspirants who are yet to pick the forms are, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun, Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi.
Chris Ngige, Senator Rochas Okorocha, Ihechukwu Dallas Chima, Usman Iwu, Ben Ayade, Rotimi Amaechi, Mr Tein Jack-Rich and Adamu Garba II.
