Eighteen suspects have been arrested as men of the Osun State Police Command, on Saturday raided dark spots across the state.
The command spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, made this known in a statement obtained in Osogbo.
Opalola said the suspects were undergoing interrogation and advised members of the public to shun all forms of electoral offences, as the command was prepared to deal decisively with anyone caught in such act.
She also enjoined residents to give prompt and useful information that could assist the police to nip in the bud all kinds of crimes and electoral malpractices.
“Consequent upon the fast approaching Osun State Gubernatorial election in July, 2022, Osun State Police Command has embarked on raiding of black spots within the state to fish out criminal elements perpetrating crime in the state.
“18 suspected criminals were arrested. They are currently undergoing interrogation,” the statement read in part.
