Two villagers have been reportedly killed by bandits who stormed Udawa village in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
One of the victims of the attack which occurred at the community located along Kaduna Birnin Gwari Highway around 8pm on Sunday August 21, is reportedly a blind man.
A community leader, Muhammadu Umaru told Daily Trust on Monday August 22, that the residents came out to engage the bandits with the support of nearby security agents, forcing the bandits to flee the community.
He said;
“Those killed were Sarkin Komo who recently moved into the village while the second person was a blind man who was hit by a bullet.”
Umaru who added that the security situation in that area is worrisome, urged security agencies to intensify efforts to end the killings of innocent people in the state.
