Tanya Pardazi, an popular social media influencer has been tragically killed.
She was killed in a freak skydiving accident last week, according to reports.
Tanya Pardazi, the star behind the TikTok page @philosatea where she amassed nearly 100k followers, was performing her first solo jump in Innisfil in Ontario, Canada, around 5.40pm local time on August 27.
The star is thought to have opened her parachute too late during the dive, which was operated by Skydive Toronto, according to local media.
The University of Toronto philosophy student was rushed to hospital, but nothing could be done to save her and she was pronounced dead on arrival.
The victim’s friend, Melody Ozgoli, knew the victim for more than 10 years after they met at school.
She told local news site Barrie Today: "One of her favourite topics to talk about was meaning of life and the curiosity of the after-life.
"I talked to her recently. I couldn't believe it. I thought it was a joke. It has been a couple of days and I still can't believe it."
She added: "She was adventurous and always trying new exciting stuff.
"Skydiving was supposed to be another fun adventure for her."
The loving friend also called Tanya a "gift to the world", while another friend, Kimia Sepanlou, called her "one of the bravest girls" she knew.
She told Toronto CTV News: "Whenever we saw her, we knew we were in for an adventure because she didn't like letting herself, or the people closest to her, get bored."
Skydive Toronto said in a press statement that Tanya was a "recent addition" to the skydiving community and had "released a quickly rotating main parachute at a low altitude without the time/altitude required for the reserve parachute to inflate".
The skydiving company said: "The team at Skydive Toronto Inc. has been profoundly affected by the accident as they have refined their student training program for over 50 years."
Police are currently investigating Tanya's death.
The TikToker last uploaded to the social media site on August 22, and the video has since been flooded with loving tributes from fans and friends alike.
"Rest in peace beautiful, the world will miss you," one said.
Another added: "Rest In Peace my friend. I’m sorry you were taken from us so soon. I hope afterlife is all that you imagined and more, until we meet again."
Meanwhile a third chimed in: "I literally cannot believe she's gone. I've never met her but she's been a huge inspiration for me. Rest in peace."
