The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has reacted to a verdict by Kenya's Supreme court upholding the election of President-Elect, William Ruto.
Recall that Kenyan Supreme Court on Monday dismissed Raila Odinga's application rejecting the presidential election.
Reacting in a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Monday, Obi congratulated Ruto and the people of the nation over the affirmation of his victory by the court.
The former Governor of Anambra State said the affirmation of Ruto’s victory holds vital lessons of hope and courage to Nigerians.
Obi wrote: “I congratulate Kenyan VP @WilliamsRuto on the Supreme Court verdict upholding his victory in the Presidential elections. He has achieved a great feat and victory, both at the polls and in the courts.”
“By this verdict, it is a double victory in Kenya, for the national democracy and the integrity of the judiciary.
