The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Gov Ifeanyi Okowa, are currently in Uyo, the Akwa-Ibom State capital, to flag off the party’s campaign programme ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Five PDP governors were absent at the commencement of the campaign, which held at the Nests of Champion International Stadium, Uyo, the state capital.
The PDP governors that failed to turn up at the rally included the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpaezu, and Enugu State Governor, Ugwuanyi Ifeanyi.
This is as the crisis rocking the leadership of the PDP remains unresolved.
