The activist stated that Obi’s supporters would ensure the LP candidate works for the people, adding that the 2023 election is an election for survival.

She said, “2023 election is an election for survival…we are not only voting for ourselves, but we are also voting for our children and our grandchildren, and the generation yet to come, we want Mr. Peter Obi to be in office, I will hold him accountable, we’ll ensure he works for the people.”

Present with Obi at the presidential campaign flag-off is his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed; the LP National Chairman, Julius Abure; a former Presidential aide, Doyin Okupe, among other party chieftains.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has hailed Pa Reuben Fasoranti and some Afenifere elders for backing him to become the next President in 2023.

Naija News reports that the former Governor of Lagos State received their endorsement during a meeting he had with the Afenifere leaders at Fasoranti’s residence in Akure, the Ondo State capital, on Sunday.

Speaking during the meeting, Tinubu appreciated the leaders of the organization for finding him worthy to be endorsed for the 2023 presidency, promising not to disappoint them.

The APC candidate said the struggle he encountered before clinching the APC ticket was a constant reminder of why he cannot afford to fail.

Tinubu, however, appreciated some of the Northern governors such as Governors Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State and Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State who supported that the APC’s presidential ticket should be zoned to the South.

He disclosed that no Yoruba man or woman opposed the ticket, stressing that the 2023 presidency is not just a Yoruba thing but a Nigeria project.
