Nasir explained that the door-to-door mobilisation was commenced earlier to check the growing threat of the New Nigeria Peoples Party’s presidential candidate, Dr Rabiu Kwankwaso, in the North-West.
The All Progressives Congress will campaign from house-to-house for its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, the North-west chapter of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council has revealed.
This was disclosed by the Assistant Secretary of Contact and Mobilisation Committee for Tinubu-Shettima PCC, Dr. Talatu Nasir, at the inaugural meeting of the directorate at Treasure Suite in Abuja on Friday.
Nasir explained that the door-to-door mobilisation was commenced earlier to check the growing threat of the New Nigeria Peoples Party’s presidential candidate, Dr Rabiu Kwankwaso, in the North-West.
The Katsina State politician, however, believes that it will not affect the fortune of Tinubu ahead of the 2023 elections.
“This Committee has already drawn the modalities of going from one house to another, from one polling unit to another, in order to see that we deliver our candidate.
“A lot of people talk about Kwankwaso being a threat to us. In the North-West, we will make a bold statement when the time comes that Tinubu is our candidate. This house-to-house mobilisation is one of the ways we plan to stop him,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Director of Contact and Mobilisation Committee, Aminu Jaji, noted that the North-West APC region would determine the next President of Nigeria.
According to him, the region is indebted to Tinubu for making the presidency of Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) a reality in the last seven and half years.
He said, “The best thing that we can do in 2023 is to pay back to Tinubu who has supported our son (President Buhari) to be the President twice. It is time to pay back what the other zones did to our son, a father and a role model, that is President Buhari. How the people from South-West stood their ground, supported him throughout, unconditionally.
“So, it is time to give some support to Tinubu unconditionally, but with conditions that he is going to make northern Nigeria, most especially, great.”
