Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portugal captain, has snubbed a questions about Manchester United.
He refused to answer a question about the club terminating his contract after their 3-2 win over Ghana on Thursday.
Ronaldo became the first ever player to score in five different World Cups, after he converted a penalty to give his country a 1-0 lead against the Black Stars.
The 37-year-old described the achievement as a “beautiful moment”.
He added: “We started on a good foot. It’s a very important win. We know in these competitions the first match is fundamental.
“It’s another record, too – that makes me very proud. I am very happy for the team to have put on an excellent performance. It was difficult but we deserved to win.”
However, Ronaldo was not interested in discussing his acrimonious exit from Old Trafford.
When asked about the issue, he simply replied: “All the rest, it doesn’t matter.”
