2023: It Will Be Suicidal To Vote For Buhari’s Anointed Presidential Candidate, APC – Northern Group

 

A northern group, the Northern Awareness Initiative has urged Nigerians not to vote for President Muhammadu Buhari‘s endorsed presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress.

 

According to DailySun, the group remarked that it would be suicidal for the North and Nigerians to vote for a candidate nominated by President Buhari or the ruling party in the forthcoming election.

 

The leader of the Initiative, Professor Usman Yusuf, gave this advice on Monday during a press conference marking the end of their strategic meeting in Kano.

 

Yusuf claimed that Nigeria, in the last seven years and some months, has slipped to its lowest under the leadership of President Buhari. He further stated that the APC-led government has failed in its promise to ensure security, improve the economy and fight corruption.

 

Yusuf said, “The APC government came to power eight years ago with three promises; to fight corruption, ensure security and improve the economy. But all they have done in the last eight years is the opposite.”

The leader of the Initiative added that the North has never had it this bad, adding that it has been better under the leadership of Presidents from other regions of the country.

 

Yusuf said the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu has no record to convince Nigerians that he would depart from the unfortunate ways of the present leadership.
