Serious Panic As Terrorists Kill Village Head In Niger, Abduct Three

Some terrorists caused serious commotion in a community in Niger State.

The terrorists killed the village head of Mulo Community in Mashegu Local Government Area of Niger State, Mallam Usman Garba.

They invaded the community on Thursday and abducted four people, including the village head.

Garba was murdered some distance from the village.

His body was left behind while the terrorists went with the three others.

The Niger Commissioner of Internal Security, Emmanuel Umar, confirmed the incident during a security briefing on Friday.

He said: “There is improvement in the security situation in the state.

“There has been a reduction in attacks but we are aware that the threat is still there and still exists.

“Of recent, we have seen attacks in the fringes of Mashegu, Mariga, and Kontagora.”
