Shodimu sang a re-composed song, thanking God for being able to buy 30 litres of petrol at N30,000.
Veteran actor, Yemi Shodimu has taken to social media to lament over the recent hike in price of petrol and the ongoing scarcity.
He revealed that he bought petrol at N1,000 per litre.
Lamenting in a video shared on TikTok, Shodimu sang a re-composed song, thanking God for being able to buy 30 litres of petrol at N30,000.
“I thank God I was able to buy fuel. I thank God I was able to get fuel. N30, 000 for 30 litres,” he sings.
“Are we seriously okay?”
Recall that the government recently increased petrol price after removing fuel subsidy in 2023.
However, on September 3, the NNPC increased the price of petrol across its retail outlets, selling N855 per litre.
Other filling stations sell as high as N1200 per litre with Nigerians bracing up for a nationwide protest.
