Nollywood actress, Bose Alao has been thrown into a state of mourning following the death of her husband, Razak Omotoyossi.
The former Benin Republic international striker reportedly died at the age of 38 on August 19, 2025.
He played for clubs including FC Metz in France and Helsingborgs IF in Sweden.
He became one of the most recognisable figures in Beninese football after switching allegiance to the national team.
He was the first Benin player to score at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and his four goals against Togo in the 2008 AFCON qualifiers remain a landmark performance in the country’s football history.
Recall that Bose Alao and Razak Omotoyossi tied the knot in 2007, and their marriage is blessed with four children.
It’s worth noting that the duo’s marriage was on and off .
In 2018, Bose Alao accused her husband of domestic abuse.
Later, she clarified that the issue was a marital problem that required counseling, not public scrutiny.
