Speaking during a livestream with fans, the singer expressed frustration over critics who doubted her album’s success because it lacked big-name features or club hits.

Tiwa Savage, the world-famous Afrobeats singer, has described the music industry as one “filled with darkness,” as she opened up about the challenges and struggles she encounters as an artist.

Speaking during a livestream with fans, the singer expressed frustration over critics who doubted her album’s success because it lacked big-name features or club hits.

She stressed the importance of remaining authentic to her craft, attributing her strength to faith and the support of her team.

Despite the hurdles, Tiwa Savage affirmed her resolve to keep creating meaningful music that reflects her artistry.

Savage said, “My Alpha and Omega, this industry is filled with so much darkness. I wish you guys knew So much but I Thank God that I’ve just kept my eyes on him. I haven’t fallen When I put out the track list, I saw so many people saying ah She doesn’t have this person she’s not featuring that person she doesn’t have Big names from America.

“She doesn’t have this. She doesn’t have A-listers And they’ve just automatically concluded that because I don’t have that on the album It’s not gonna be good Like wow, I Wish people understood music the way I understand music Yeah, I don’t have Huge cosigns, I don’t and I wasn’t actively seeking huge cosigns All I have is all I have, isn’t it?

Honestly having you guys is enough for me Yeah, I do believe that even with You know, sometimes they say you don’t need a lot of people you just need the right people you don’t I don’t need millions of fans. I just need the right ones.

“I Just need the right ones and I have the right ones It took two years two years over two years And it’s out so many people are There was so many hurdles I wish I could tell you guys the fights the The challenges the people who doubted Who said Me doing this type of vulnerable record that nobody’s going to listen to it.

“Nobody cares people just want to hear Gbedu People just want to hear Banger people just want to hear club records. You don’t have any club records This thing is not going to work. People are not going to stream it.
