Nigerian Actress, Regina Daniels’ Mother, Rita Daniels Loses AGN Election

Rita Daniels, the mother of Nollywood star Regina Daniels, has failed in her attempt to become president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria.

Rita was one of the popular contenders in the election, which was held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, to choose a successor for the outgoing president, Emeka Rollas.

Her main opponent was the current National Secretary, Abubakar Yakubu, who eventually won the contest.

The outcome drew wide reactions online, as many viewers claimed they were not surprised by the final result.
