Nigerian singer Bigiano has alleged that he was the original writer of the hit song Dami Duro, which was later performed by his colleague, Davido.
Speaking in a recent interview with content creator Akin Abolade, the Shayo crooner specifically stated that he wrote the hook of Dami Duro.
“I wrote Dami Duro for Davido. I wrote the hook,” he claimed.
On why he has been away from the music scene, Bigiano said, “Sometimes, you have to take a break to be able to come back again. I went on a sabbatical to make my return to music massive.”
He added that despite his break from music, he is not struggling financially, stressing that “I can’t be broke.”

Recall that Dami Duro shot Davido to fame after it was released in 2011.
The song has been named among the “greatest Afrobeats songs of all time” by several local and international buffs.
However, Bigiano is not officially credited as a co-writer of the song.
Davido is yet to react to his claims of co-writing the hit song.
