88-Year-Old Rivers Monarch Says He Got Fresh Haircut So His 82-Year-Old Wife 'Doesn’t Go Chasing Another Man'

His Royal Highness and head of the Fubara House in Opobo, Rivers State, Alabo Dagogo Fubara, told his children that he got a fresh haircut because he does not want his 82-year-old wife, Vinolia Fubara, to start chasing another man.

His daughter, Kalanne Fubara, disclosed this in a Facebook post on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

“My 88-year-old father just told us he just got done getting a haircut so his 82-year-old wife...sorry, his wife, my mother.....doesn’t go chasing another man,” she wrote.

"After 63 years of marriage, this man is still grooming, still toasting, still defending his territory. HRH is not relaxing. HRH is still in active competition.

"Serious relationship. Not dry companionship. Not “we’ve been together forever, so let’s just manage.” No. This is romance with stamina.

"This is seasoned love with spark. This is a husband still wooing his wife like he has something to lose.

"Relationship goals, for real. May we all find a love that still laughs, still flirts, and still reaches for the haircut after six decades together.
