
Nigerian actor Baba Ijesha has provided an in-depth account of crossdresser Bobrisky’s experiences during his time in prison.
In an interview with Biola Bayo, Baba Ijesha said Bobrisky faced distress upon arrival, showing visible fear and anxiety.
Contrary to rumours that suggested he received special treatment or was taken to a hotel, Baba Ijesha explained that he struggled in the cell and was overwhelmed by the situation.
Naija News reports that Baba Ijesha also described Bobrisky as more than the flamboyant persona seen online.
Behind the theatrics, he revealed a reliable and compassionate individual.
During their time in detention, Bobrisky reportedly shared food with other prisoners whenever it was available.
Baba Ijesha revealed that Bobrisky’s mother, would prepare meals for numerous inmates.
He said: “When Bobrisky got to the cell, he was crying and rolling on the floor. It’s not true that he was taken to the hotel. Although, he always behave like a cartoon, he is actually a very reliable person.
"Whenever food was brought for him, he would share it with other prisoners. It was his mum that used to bring food.
“She would cook for about 1000 prisoners and was always crying. All the female outfits Bobrisky wears, he uses it to make money.
"He is a very kind person. I am now the ambassador for prisoners.”
