A disturbing scene in Ado-Ekiti has sparked widespread anger online after a viral video showed officers of the Nigeria Police Force allegedly dragging a National Youth Service Corps member in public view.

After seeing Nigeria Police Force officers dragging a National Youth Service Corps member in public in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, a Nigerian citizen has voiced his outrage over what he characterized as an increase in harassment instances.

The eyewitness captured the moment a youth corps member was dragged away by three uniformed police officers in front of an Ado-Ekiti school in the video that #ChuksEricE uploaded on X on Tuesday.

As spectators observed the event, two additional uniformed corps members were also spotted with them.

The eyewitness reacted behind the camera, expressing disapproval of the police officers' behavior.

"They don't have a car, so they can't just see a young man with one," he stated in Yoruba.

They won't have a car even after working for forty years. They have nothing to show for their labor. You and your generation don't even have a car. They only know how to harass people," he continued.

Additionally, the individual claimed that while he was filming the interaction, the officers tried to take his phone.

"They wish to pick up my phone." The phone your dad got me, abi? He asked.

Other people could be heard in the background pleading for the officers to be appropriately filmed and made public.

One voice said, "Take a really good video of them and upload it online."

Additionally, the witness was heard cautioning the corps member not to accompany the officers anyplace.

He said, "No follow them go, no follow them go anywhere."

The manner in which the corps member was taken away in public has sparked criticism online, with many Nigerians questioning the behavior of the officers involved, even though the precise circumstances leading up to the altercation are still unknown.

An unidentified man also yelled out as some police officers raided a store and harassed patrons, according to a previous story from PUNCH Online.
