Musician Davido has elaborated on his residential construction project at Eko Atlantic City, Lagos during a recent interview, revealing extensive details about the structure's design and development timeline.
The disclosure comes days after the artist shared footage of his newly acquired property in Atlanta, USA.
Davido disclosed that his Eko Atlantic initiative, currently undergoing basement construction, will comprise 15 bedrooms, two recording facilities, and parking for 20 vehicles across five additional storeys above the basement level.
He indicated that project completion and full occupancy are anticipated within approximately one year, with structural completion targeted for December of the current year.
The artist credited his brother-in-law with overseeing construction and providing inspiration for the project, noting he anticipated being among the early residents once the development reaches completion.
Davido traced the origins of the current property to an earlier land acquisition at Banana Island.
He stated that he had previously purchased that site for slightly above one billion naira but subsequently sold it for two billion naira after learning of the Eko Atlantic development opportunity.
His current Eko Atlantic land purchase exceeded two billion naira.
The artist projected that upon completion, the combined value of the property and constructed home would exceed twenty billion naira, noting that the land value alone has appreciated substantially to approximately seven billion naira.
"This mansion here in Eko Atlantic has 15 bedrooms, two music studios, and a 20-car garage. By this time next year, everything will be ready. A land here worth 7 billion Naira"
