The National Youth Service Corps has told foreign-trained Nigerian graduates that they must complete physical verification of their documents and credentials before they can do national service.

Without this verification, they will not be deployed.

The physical verification will take place from September 9 to September 12, 2026, across nine centres in different parts of the country.

Only graduates who are physically seen with their credentials and get verified and cleared will be allowed to proceed with national service.

The scheme said foreign-trained graduates need to bring all their original credentials and travel documents that they uploaded or will upload during online registration.

Medical graduates also need to bring their professional licences and registration certificates from their regulatory bodies.

Prospective corps members must show up on the exact date, time and location shown on their verification slips.

The arrangement is to keep things orderly and prevent overcrowding at the centres.

All original evaluation letters from the Federal Ministry of Education must also be presented.

The scheme warned that anyone who fails to complete the physical verification will not be deployed for the service year.

This is to ensure that credentials submitted by foreign-trained graduates are properly checked and confirmed before they are allowed to serve.
