Ondo Warns Residents After Herbal Drink Tragedy Claims Several Lives

The Ondo State Government has warned residents to stop drinking uncertified herbal mixtures and unapproved drinks after a tragic incident in Odigbo Local Government Area claimed several lives.

The Information Commissioner, Idowu Ajanaku, urged people to stay away from substances with unknown ingredients and to only buy medicine from registered shops.

 

He warned sellers and makers of fake remedies to stop immediately or face legal trouble, while also warning young people against drug abuse.

Government officials and health agencies are currently investigating the Odigbo deaths to find out exactly what killed the victims.

 

The government praised the local council chairman for stepping in quickly, asked residents to remain calm without spreading rumors, and begged the public to report anyone making or selling dangerous substances.
