Oluremi Tinubu Hails Igbos as She Makes Surprise Move in Anambra

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has praised the Igbo people as warm, trustworthy and good to work with after her visit to Anambra State.

During her one-day trip to the state capital, Tinubu was given a traditional chieftaincy title by the state's council of traditional rulers.

The visit included a civic reception where she commended the warm welcome she received from people in the state.

Before the reception, she commissioned a Technological Centre at a federal polytechnic in the state.

She took the opportunity to praise Governor Chukwuma Soludo's administration, describing it as excellent and noting that he has become known across the country for his quality leadership.

Tinubu also commended the governor's wife, Nonye, for empowering about 5,000 poor people in the state.

As an addition to the wife's programme, Tinubu announced she would give 100,000 naira to each of the beneficiaries.

She was clear that her visit wasn't about campaigning for the ruling party.

She came, she said, simply as a Nigerian interested in fostering unity and supporting people regardless of their political leanings or where they live.

She stressed that citizens should look out for each other no matter where they are in the country.

Tinubu said she would return to the South-East region when it's time for actual campaign activities, but this trip was just about building connections and showing support for Nigerians everywhere.
