Cruel World! 52 Year Old Man Loses Wife and 5 Kids to Best Friend in Imo

 

Gilbert Maduko, 52 is currently licking his fresh wounds after he was allegedly betrayed by his best friend, Akwusi Aluwaogu who snatched his wife and also took custody of his 5 children with the claim that he fathered them.

 

According to P.M news, the incident occurred at Ugwuakwu Village of Umuchu in Aguate Local Government area of  Anambra State, South-East Nigeria. The marriage which produced those children, collapsed after Oluchi and her children moved to Aluwaogu’s home who is an indigene of Akokwa town in Imo State and introduced the man to her children as their real father.

 

Gilbert and Akwusi have been known to be good friends before Gilbert got married. Even after his marriage, Akwusi paid regular visits to his house but it was unknown to him that Akwusi was secretly having an affair with his wife. This reportedly happened over the years until when Gilbert returned home one day and noticed his wife was nowhere to be found.

 

He later discovered she had moved in with Akwusi in his village in Akokwa, Imo state. Gilbert received the shock of his life when his wife boldly stood up to introduce Akwusi to him as her husband as well as the father of her 5 children.

 

Gilbert accepted the issue in good faith but reportedly raised an alarm when Akwusi planned to give out the hand of his underage daughter in marriage to a man and collect the brideprice. He reported the matter to the police and Akwusi was swiftly arrested on the grounds for confirmation of the original paternity of the child as well as her age.

Gilbert has resolved to marrying another wife and starting life all over again as he doesn't have the power to compel his former wife to come back to him.
