Suspected Boko Haram members have fatally attacked Ajilari Railway cross of Gomari Airport ward of Maiduguri in a series of bomb blasts.
Fresh multiple explosions have rocked Ajilari Railway cross of Gomari Airport ward of Maiduguri leaving 51 people dead and several others critically injured.
The first series of explosions which was suspected to have been masterminded by Boko Haram suicide bombers occurred simultaneously at about 7:38pm, while the last one took place at about 8pm which has forced many residents to flee into main city for safety.
A source claims the bombs were planted in a mosque in the area and perhaps timed to coincide with the time of the late evening prayers.
He also revealed that another bomb exploded at a mini business district where people were shopping for dinner.
The third site where the explosion occurred was a game centre in the area where young people pay to play computer games and get their mobile phones charged.
Ajilari cross is an outskirt of Maiduguri which has witnessed series of Boko Haram attacks including bombings in recent past.
