Mayweather: I will relinquish all belts on Monday

 

On Saturday night, Floyd Mayweather won the Fight of the Century. It was a unanimous decision. After the fight, Mayweather made a decision of his own. It might seem unorthodox and unexpected, but by now, nothing Mayweather does should surprise us.

After defeating Manny Pacquiao on Saturday, Mayweather said he will give up all his belts. And he will do it today which is Monday.

Mayweather's reasoning is built around the idea of giving younger fighters opportunities.

And according to Paco Valcarcel, who is the President of the World Boxing Organization, it was agreed upon prior to the fight that if Mayweather won, the title would be vacated.
