Troops Eliminate IPOB/ESN Fighters In Imo

Four members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) were eliminated by troops on Monday.

The fighters were operating under the IPOB armed affiliate, Eastern Security Network (ESN).

The gun battle ensued at Amaifeke and Ihioma in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State.

Troops of 34 Brigade Obinze responded after the attackers shot sporadically, threatening lives of citizens.

In a statement, Army spokesman, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu said the gang opened fire on sighting the patrol team.
