A 50-year-old kidnap victim, Musa Barma has been rescued from kidnappers.
He was rescued by Police in the Malam-Madori Local Government area of Jigawa State.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the spokesman of the command, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, issued to DAILY POST.
He said the incident happened on Saturday at about 0230hrs, when some hoodlums in their numbers, with sophisticated weapons, stormed the residence of Musa Barma and abducted him.
He said after receiving the information, the police traced them and laid an ambush on the hoodlums’ expected route around Arbus village in Kaugama Local Government.
He explained that as a result of the fire exchange with the hoodlums, the police succeeded in rescuing the Kidnapped victim unhurt, while the abductors took to their heels and escaped to an unknown destination.
Shiatsu said one person, Nura Ahmad of Abuja Quarters in Malam Madori local Government was arrested in connection with the case.
He said the case was transferred to SCIID headquarters for discreet investigation.
