Some gunmen who are suspected to be Islamic terrorists have gone on a rampage in Kaduna State.
The terrorists killed a Nigerian soldier guarding a farm in Anchau village of Kubau Local Government Area of Kaduna State and abducted two people.
The two abductees are a Zimbabwe national and a Nigerian, according to Tribune.
The paper quoted its source to have said, “Bandits attacked and killed a soldier working in a farm company. They also kidnapped one Mr Charles Choko from Zimbabwe and one Yusuf Aliyu Bello from Kano State.”
The source further noted that security had been deployed to the village, adding "a team of security personnel were sighted on Friday going inside the bush apparently to rescue the victims."
Meanwhile, SaharaReporters’ efforts to get the reaction of Kaduna State Police Command were unsuccessful, as command's spokesperson, DSP Mohammed Jalige, could not pick his calls as the phone rang out.
Terrorists have continued to assault communities in the state, with the security agencies making frantic efforts to curtail the excesses of the criminals.

The victims were rescued along Pole Wire-Birnin Gwari Road, Birnin Gwari Local Government Area.
The rescued victims comprised two adult males and an elderly woman, who according to a statement by the Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, had been moved to Kaduna town.
