BBNaija 10: Why I Chose Islam Over Christianity – Sultana

Farida Sultana Auduson Ibrahim, the Big Brother Naija 10/10 housemate, who is known simply as Sultana, has disclosed that she chose Islam over Christianity.

The 25-year-old plus-size model explained that she grew up with a Muslim father and a Christian mother but decided to practice Islam because it is the religion that “works best” for her.

She shared that she was a Catholic with the baptismal name Josephine before she converted to Islam.

She disclosed this during a chat with fellow housemate, Zita, on Wednesday night.

Zita: “Are your parents strict Muslims?”

Sultana: “No, I grew up going to both church and mosque, my mom is a Christian. At some point I got baptized in Catholic, my baptismal name is Josephine. I just decided to choose the religion that works best for me, which is Islam.”

Sultana’s father is a Muslim from Adamawa State, while her mother is a Christian from Yala, Cross River State.
