Catholic Priest Suggests VDM And Mr Jollof's Fight Is A 'Tactic To Prevent People From Discussing The Country's Real Problem'

A Nigerian Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Chidi Angelo Unegbu, has weighed into the VDM versus Mr Jollof drama making the rounds on social media.

The Catholic priest suggested that some trending topics on Nigerian social media including VDM and Mr Jollof's mid-flight physical altercation, are deliberate diversionary tactics to prevent people from discussing the country's real problems. 

“It seems that some people are deliberately promoting these diversionary tactics on Nigerian social media to prevent people from discussing the country's real problems.

"Today, it is fighting on airplanes. Stop falling for all these distractions,” he wrote in a Facebook post on Monday.
