Nigeria's Defence Minister, retired General Christopher Musa, has called for a unified national approach to tackling the country's deepening security crisis, emphasizing that no single individual or institution can address the challenges alone.
Speaking on the state of insecurity across the country, Musa acknowledged the enormous scale of the threats spanning armed violence, banditry, kidnapping, and other criminal activities affecting several regions and stressed that overcoming them requires a collective effort involving government agencies, communities, and ordinary citizens working together.
He urged all stakeholders to set aside divisions and collaborate in confronting the crisis, saying success can only be achieved through solidarity and shared commitment.
“We can’t continue to operate in silence. Nobody can do this alone. The challenges are enormous. We must come together to achieve success” — Defence Minister, Christopher Musa
