The oil exploration has taken its toll on the creeks and villages in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. Most of the villages have been rendered inhabitable as well as unsuitable for agriculture due to the frequent cases of oil spillage and the effects of crude oil processing.
Some disturbing images of the highly volatile region has been released which shows the deplorable state of life over there.
