The former governor of Borno state was, however, mocked by Nigerians, including former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, for wearing a pair of gym shoes to the event while on a suit.
After Nigerians mocked the All Progressives Congress (APC) Vice Presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima over his dressing to the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) annual conference on Monday, Festus Keyamo has come to his defence.
Keyamo who is the Minister of State for Labour and employment and also Bola Tinubu's campaign spokesperson took to his social media page to share a photo of himself in suit and sneakers.
Recall that the NBA annual conference was held yesterday at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Shettima was mocked by Nigerians, including former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, for wearing a pair of gym shoes to the event while on a suit.
Omokri had scolded the APC chieftain saying who in his right mind wears a suit and tie and then puts on a pair of gym shoes?
“If Shettima does not know how to dress himself to a formal conference, how will he be able to address Nigeria’s many challenges?” Omokri asked.
Reacting, however, Keyamo took to his verified Twitter page on Tuesday to post photos of himself dressed in a suit and joggers (similar to Shettima’s), making a mockery of critics of the APC chieftain.
Sharing the photos, the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) captioned: “Now, since they think the issues of Nigeria are three buttons, a pair of sneakers and a long tie, let’s help make them the real issues.”
