Shahida, the daughter of the former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has prayed to Allah to protect women from men that destroy their self-esteem and isolate them from everyone.

The mother of three stated this in her Instagram story on Wednesday, November 16, while commenting on a post about a woman who is being demeaned by her husband.

She referred to such men as monsters because they make the women feel they are doing her a favour by staying with her.

"Husbands that destroy their wives' esteem. Keep them down so they can step on them. Subhanallah. May Allah protect us from such monsters.

They will isolate you from everyone and make you feel you can't live without them...in fact they are doing you a favour by staying with you abi?"
