Chelsea Lists 11 Players for Sale as Squad Overhaul Continues

Chelsea has placed 11 squad members on its transfer list as part of an ongoing restructuring effort during the summer transfer window, following substantial expenditure on new acquisitions.

The club has invested over £300 million in signings including Morgan Rogers, Maxence Lacroix, Marco Palestra, Geovany Quenda, Valentin Barco, Danny Welbeck and Emmanuel Emegha.

Among those available for departure are Enzo Fernández, Pedro Neto, Malo Gusto, Benoît Badiashile, Axel Disasi, Trevoh Chalobah, Marc Guiu, David Datro Fofana, Liam Delap and Nicolas Jackson.

Chalobah has agreed a £31 million transfer to Italian side Como, whilst Neto has attracted interest from Manchester City, potentially reuniting with manager Enzo Maresca.

Chelsea is expected to facilitate additional exits before the window concludes as the squad restructuring progresses.

Chelsea's pre-season preparations have yielded mixed outcomes under manager Xabi Alonso.

The team won their opening fixture against Western Sydney Wanderers 6–4 in an attacking display that demonstrated offensive capability whilst revealing defensive shortcomings after conceding four goals.

Subsequent encounters proved less successful, with Chelsea suffering a 2–1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in Sydney despite a committed performance.

The struggles persisted in Hong Kong, where a 1–0 loss to Juventus followed, with the team creating chances but failing to convert scoring opportunities.

After three matches, Chelsea has scored seven goals and conceded seven, reflecting both attacking potential and remaining defensive issues ahead of the competitive season.

The club will contest further friendlies against AC Milan on Saturday, Johor Darul Ta'zim on Sunday and Real Sociedad on August 15 as Alonso continues squad assessment and tactical preparation.
