See Yawa! 'Abobaku' of Ooni of Ife Reportedly on the Run as Burial Plans Commence

According to a recent tweet, the final burial right of Yoruba Monarch, Ooni of Ife might be delayed as the individual who is supposed to be buried alive with Oba Sijuade has disappeared.

 

In the Yoruba tradition, an individual called 'abobaku' is always attached to the king and when the king dies, he is also buried alive  with the king.
