Nigerian troops have hit a milestone in the fight against insurgency as no fewer than 80 Boko Haram members have surrendered.

According to The Nigerian Army, 80 Boko Haram terrorists yesterday, October 1st, surrendered in mass to troops of ‘Operation Lafiya Dole’ in Bama. This has sparked celebrations among Nigerians especially residents of Borno state.

It would be recalled that a week ago, over 200 members of the terrorist sect surrendered to the Nigerian troops.
